Difficulty :
1. Rehabilitation of adivasi villages :
- Lack of assurance to get basic needs after relocation
- After few decades also Surya Project affected people are not getting primary needs like school, home, land, hospital, transportation, water, electricity
- Basic Needs & Facilities are observed missing for employee working for Surya Project at Surya Nagar Colony, then affected people is far long story
2. Dahanu Taluka's Need of water :
- Today Dahanu Taluka itself facing problem of water. In coming 10 years, Dahanu's Population will be of 5 times greater. Then how to fullfill Dahanu Taluka's Water need?
- Almost Projects in Thane Dist are made to benefit Urban Population. No proper planing is done for resource utilization for rural area
3. Sacrifice Development :
- Why always tribal needs to sacrifice for developments?
- dose only urban development is nation's development?
- Development of local reason where these resource belongs to is not development?
Solution :
1. Utilize Local Resource, rather than extracting from Tribal region (Dam in Vasai Taluka itself )
- As per Suggested by CIDCO, Concentrate on local available resources, which are much larger than Susari & will save cost of pipeline & Maintenance
- This will balance the resource utilization, & save from crises in near future for water need in Dahanu Taluka
2. Full Rehabilitation of all tribal & Utilizing resources for Local Needs
- Rehabilitation of all affected tribal with justified values & services
- Utilizing water considering local development & future needs in Dahanu Taluka
